(Received 9, 10.dO a.m.) Melbourne, December 9. In the House Mr. Fraser announced that after protracted negotiations the Government was unable to decide that it was in a position justifying the payment of patent rights either for Marconi or Telefunken wireless. Mr Symes said the urgency of establishing wireless did not justify delaying any longer. It was intended to erect stations round the coast, beginning at Melbourne and then Hobart, also to connect Port Moresby with either Cooktown or Thursday Island. The Government might be compelled to define the system with the name Commonwealth which its expert, would register. If it was found it infringed the other systems the Government would accept responsibility for payment of such infringement.
