The Taranaki Hardware Co. has just opened up a shipment of vases, jugs, fruit dishes, biscuit boxes, jelly dishes, and trays, suitable for Xmas gifts. You inspection is 'invited. ° The Rangitikei County Council invites tenders for gravelling at Taihape, Moawhanga, and at Whareroa, near Hunterville. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.’s horse fair will take place at Tattersall’s, Hawera, to-morrow. Mr. Newton King will conduct his sale at tiro Haymarket and Mart tomorrow.
Messrs; Lamason and Melville will hold their usual sale of poultry, vegetables, furniture, etc., at their auction rooms, Broadway, to-morrow. A reward is offered for the return of a black cocker spaniel. On E—riday, December Bth, Messrs. Young, Hobbs and Co. hold a stock sale at Kaponga. Newton King’s Stratford mixed cattle sale will take place at his yards on Tuesday 12th December.
