“CATTLE KING” COMPLAINS.
AUSTRALIAN TRADE TAKEN BY NEW ZEALAND. REAPING WITHOUT SOWING. (Received 8, 9.15 a.m.) December 8. Mr. Arthur Kidman, “the cattle king,” declares that Australia is gradually losing the meat and butter trade with Canada and the United States, which was going to New Zealand, as a result of tariff advantages under the reciprocal arrangement. He protests against allowing trade which mis been pioneered and built up by Australia being allowed to drift to New Zealand.
