After | five minutes’ struggling he complained of a needle being in his chest. He was immediately convoyed to Cumnock, and operated upon, hut without extracting the needle. On Monday week, Dr. Watt, of Wellington (New South Wales), successfully operated and located the needle in very close proximity to the heart, it having pierced ice pericardium. During the 21 hours the needle travelled over Sin, and the doctor’s opinion was that Im was just in time to save the man’s life liy about three hours.
