THE ENGLISH CRICKETERS

MATCH AGAINST QUEENSLAND

Brisbane, December 1

There was an attendance of 5000 The, batsmen opened splendidly and looked like putting up a big total. Fennelly and Jennings added G 3 for the first wicket, and Jennings and Hartigan 90 for the third-wicket. Both were brilliant and scored rapidly. The fifth wicket fell for 202, but the remainder of the batsmen only added 88. The bowling was unexceptionally strong, Barnes and Douglas being the best, whilst the fielding throughout was brilliant.
