RABBIT SKINS. (Received 2,* 8 a:m.) London, December 1. The rabbit skin sales closed firm. About 3750 hales were sold. Any persons who have not yet received their exhibits from the show may obtain them from the secretary’s office, Broadway. Wo arc requested to state that the meeting to-night in Broadway will start at 8 o’clock sharp, in front of the Municipal Buildings. Mr. C. H. Taylor, M.A. (Victoria College), and Mr. T. Lawson Robinson (Otago University) will lie the principal speakers.
The nominations for the Parliamentary elections have closed, and all sorts of men have been nominated. On December 7th- those with least merit will he cut out, and on December 14th the chosen members will be known to the country. There will ba great excitement till then, but it is preferable to take things calmly and drink Crescent Blend Tea, widen soothes the nerves and gives the palate pleasure.
