AMUSEMENTS.
o 110YAL PICTURES. A special feature in the splendid programme submitted by the Royal Pictures Proprietary in the Town Hall last evening in aid of the Stratford Band funds was the great number of world famous film manufacturers who were represented. In all there were no less than ten different makers such as "Pathe Freres/" "Lubin," "Selig," "Yitagroth," "Coniica," "American Kincmia," "Imperuir," "Essonay," and "Ambrosses," and Hcpworth." With such a variety of makers it was only natural that the large audience should be treated to a varied programme of unusual interest. Scenic films are always popular and "Rangoon Its Streets and Envirions" presents a charming glimpse of Eastern life. "A Double Adoption" and "Queen of Hearts," and "An Exiles Love" were all stirring dramas and were watched with breathless interest. The stories were good ones and the acting left nothing to be desired. "Turtle Fishing" and the "Aloe Harvest" explain themselves. Both are strange industries lending themselves admirably to the art of cinematography. In the comic section the "Best Girl in Town" and "A Drive into the Country provoked much merriment and were well deserving of the applause they received. The Royal Pictures Proprietary -will screen a complete change of programme this evening when patrons can rest assured of another good evening's entertainment. HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. , An entirely new programme will he screened at His Majesty's Theatre this evening, the chief attraction being a representation of the well-known drama "/Uncle Tom's Cabin."
