GENERAL NOTES.
Programmes for tho Now Zealand Rifle Association’s annual meeting at Trentham have now been issued, and secretaries of Rifle Clubs and otheis interested can procure copies by. calling at the Defence Office or by writing. On Saturday morning Captain Lampen leaves for Palmerston to sit for examination for promotion. Examinations of Taranaki Territorial officers have just been concluded at New Plymouth, the examining board consisting of Captain AVhytc (brigade major) and Captains Lampen and Cardalc.
