ST. ANDREW’S YOUNG WOMEN’S BIBLE CLASS.

ANNUAL SOCIAL

A very enjoyable social was held at ,ic. Andrew’s Hail fast evening, when St. Andrew's * I’oung Women's Bible 1 Mass held their annual social. The Rev. J. M. Thomson occupied the chair. A first-class programme was submitted, tiio following items being given :—Pianoforte duet, Misses Mac.u\y and it. dark; song, “Roses,” Miss M. Mackey; song, “Caller Herrin’,” Miss gangster, (encore) “Scotland Yet”; recitation, “Laska,” Mr iV. Stewart; song, “the Bostiilian,” Mr P. Thomson- and another; violin solo, Miss B. Mori,son; song, “Every Ship will find a Harbour, ' Dir Ji. Douglas; song, “Spring,” Miss Saunders, (encorej “Dear Little Jammy Face”; vocal duet, “Gathering Flowers,” Misses Butcher; _ solo, “The Spring has Gome,” Dliss F. Make; pianoforte solo, Mrs McNeely. A uamorous dialogue entitled “Wanted, a Servant,” was given, Mr Douglas taking the part of Dir Marshall, Miss Reid (Mrs Marshall), Miss Butcher (Margaret O’Flanagan, the Irish girl), Miss M. Mackey(nigger girl Snowdrop Washington), Miss O. Butcher (German girl, Katcriu von \ ollenstein), and Miss M. Mackay and Allan Campbell (tiie widow Dies Brunker and Freddie). The accompanists were Miss Evans, Miss Moricon, and Mrs McNeely, each of whom was very successful. Supper was provided by tiie Bible Class members and friends, and Mrs Reid kindly lent furniture, a special vote of thanks to her being passed.
