A hailstorm which passed over during the time Cr. -I. Smith was speaking regarding the chairmanship at yesterday’s meeting of the County Council made it difficult to catch his words, and our printed version is somewhat misleading. Cr. Smith explains that lie did not say lie had been on the Manganni Road Hoard, his remark being that from press reports he could say that Cr. Hathaway had satisfactorily discharged the duties of chairman of the Board.
