Archdeacon Bartlett, president of the Goulburn Diocesan Synod, referring to the relations of the church and the working man said: “I would to God that wo churchmen could come iu closer contact with the working classes.” Working men wanted intelligent services by a hard-working, sympathetic priest—a brother man not a ritualistic faddist.
