DEFERRED CABLES.

" (Per Press Association.) • Wellington, November 22. The Telegraph Department says the reduction in press cables referred to by the Premier in a Christchurch telegram this week applies only to deferred cables, which may lie liable to twelve hours ’delay. The Department has no further details, and was not a ware there was any intention to apply the deferred system to press as well as ordinary cables.
