FARE IN AUCKLAND.

(Per Press Association.) Auckland, November 22. Two shops and dwellings in Hobson Street, occupied by Mrs S. Donovan as a laundry, were gutted by lire at., 8 a.m. Mrs Donovan’s mother had to be carried from an upstairs room, slightly burned about the head and neck. There was no insurance on furniture or on the laundry plant. The building was owned by tiie estate of Edward Langley and insured for £SOO in the New Zealand office.
