Waitcmata, unless the were agreed to. The agents then .yielded. As some of the men had gone the rest decided not to resume till the morning. NO-LICENSE DISTURBANCE. Timaru, Novembers 21. A Press Association message fro.m_ Ashburton *on Friday described the disgraceful conduct of hoodlums at. Haugitata towards a party of no-lic-ense advocates a few nights before. The chairman of the school committee and the schoolmaster have written to the Timaru “Herald” denying practically the whole story, and admit only that the meeting was stopped by a noise outside. Some small mischief was done to a vehicle and ono fresh egg was thrown. They suggest that the opposition was partly due to the party making use of the school without permission, and suggest that if the visitors were bruised this was due to their stumbling over boulders in the uncalled for panic flight.
