EVIDENCE OF ATTEMPTED BURGLARY.(Per Press Association.) Auckland, November 20. It is stated that investigation of biie safe in Mackay, Logan’s premises allowed twelve or fourteen deep incisions close to the handle apparently
caused by a chisel. The contents of the safe included several hundred pounds’ worth of light jewellery. This gives colour to the theory that there nay be some connection between the . onllagration ' and an unsuccessful attempt at bu rglary.
