DEATH OF MR. P. WILSON.

We much regret to have to record the death of Mr Peter Wilson, ivellknown and highly respected throughout the district. The late Mr. Wilson was one of Stratford’s early settlers, and will be remembered by most of our readers who have lived here any length of time. Some time ago Mr Wilson removed with his family to Hamilton, Waikato, and recently Mr Wilson’s son Arnold, who had been to Australia, icame back to Taranaki and took up a property on the Pembroke Road. A few weeks back Mr Arnold Wilson'was taken very ill with appendicitis," and for some time his condition was critical. In consequence'Mr and Mrs Peter Wilson came back to Stratford and it was only on Thursday last that Mr Wilson, sen., left for Mountain to visit an old friend as his son Arnold was reported to be out of danger. Mr Wilson was apparently in the best of health, but. so far as is known, expired very suddenly from heart disease. Sincere sympathy is expressed for the bereaved Ayidow and family.
