THE INSURANCE BILL. ITS EFFECT ON IRELAND. London, November 15. In the House of Commons the Irish amendment to the Insurance Bill was adopted. It provided for reduced contributions from employers and workmen, but those insured will not lie entitled to medical benefits. Mr O’Brien moved the postponement of tiie operation of the amendment for two years, and declared it aimed at benefiting the Hibernian Society exclusively. ■ The motion was rejected. - nr 'Mr O’Brien’s efforts to exclude from approved societies and organisations limited to particular religions caused an angry Nationalist - demonstration. This also was negatived. Tiie Grand Committee of the Insurance Bill a dieted -Mr Buxton’s amendment providing for - the technical education of nnskillfd 'workmen.
