ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
WHARF LABOURER’S DEATH. (Per Press Association.) Dunedin, November 14. While engaged in discharging cargo from the Whakatane this afternoon, John Gcsty, a married man, residing in Leith Street, was overtaken by heart seizure, and expired before a medical man arrived. Deceased was recently treated for heart trouble. A BUSH FATALITY. Auckland, November 14. Constable Wade, of Kawhia, telegraphed to headquarters this afternoon that a native, Tami Rangi, was accidentally killed in the bush to-day at Awaroa. A MYSTERIOUS DEATH. Gisborne, November 14 James Kennedy, aged 30 or 32 years, was found dead in his tent at Raukanroa, near Gisborne, this morning. The ..information received goes to show that the cause of death is somewhat mysterious. Deceased v as a navvy, and had been working on the railway line for some considerable time. He went ■ ; toßaukanroa post office last night for his mail, and then appearqd to be in his usual good health, as he made'po complaints of, being 'unwell,; arid ■ \yhcri last’ seen, about midnight, by some, of his c amp mates, ho wps ' all , right, Docoak.cd, who- was a single ina'ri, slept i'n a ]c.pi by himself, whrire ho' was found dead at six o’clock this morning. This afternoon the body was said to he turning black.
