THE EDUCATION BOARD.
We arc always glad to find t!'C younger men of the town aiid district prepared to talce a share in the work of municipal and local body administration. One of Stratford’s young men, who ought to make his marie in this way is Mr. Robert Masters, eldest son of Stratford’s worthy Mayot, who has decided to offer himself as a candidate for tiie scat on the Taranaki Education Board rendered vacant by the retirement of Mr. W. C. Cargill. Mr. Masters is a young man of business ability and good sense, and wo -believe he will, have the very hearty support' of the teaching’ staff of tho schools—at any rate, in the East Ward—solidly behind him. AVc believe lie can do good service, and that his ideas are progressive and in favour of the extension of technical education, and tho giving of greater facilities to hoys and girls, who have left
L!io primary schools, as well as to adults, for further pursuing their studies at special classes. Wo can heartily support this at any rate, and think the committees might very well look favourably upon Mr. Robert Masters’ candidature.
