Tin, spot, £191; three months, £lB5 ss. Lead : Imports 14,337 tons ; exports, 6022 tons. Galvanised iron: First brands, £l3 17s 6d; second, £l3 7s 6d. Wire netting, 62 £ per cent, off list. Copra, dull. South Sea bags £25. Hemp is dull and unchanged. Jute, November-December shipments, £2O 10s. Cotton, Novembex - - December, 4.97 d. Rubber, 4s 4Jd. Basils, first New Zealand, Is 6Jd. Nothing is doing in hides and leather.

HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. ■ (Per Press Association.) Wellington, November 13. Following is the High Commissioner’s cable dated November 11th (quotations unless otherwise specified are for average market prices on spot)Mutton.—The market is 1 quiet but firm, the demand being chiefly for heavy weights. Canterbury 4£d, North Island 3£d. Lamb.—The market is dull with scarcely any demand. Quotations show a weaker tendency. Prices are nominally unchanged. Canterbury sd, other than Canterbury 4|d. Beef.— The market continues dull and trade in foreign beef is reduced to a minimum and quotations are nominal.

Butter.—The market has recovered. There was better demand for butter cx s.s. Ruapehu, which arrived in good condition and is very fine in quality. It .sold very freely at 130 s. Danish 1355, Siberian 120 s, Australian 1275, Argentine (new season’s) 1245.

Cheese.—The market is quiet but firm. The demand is getting better. Canadian 68s to 71s according to quality.

Wool.—The market is steady with prices well maintained. Current quotations : Bradford tops 3G’s low cross breds Is o|d, 40’s low cross breds Is Id, 44’s medium cross breds Is IRI, 50’s half breds Is sd, 56’s quarter breds Is

The pork market is quiet with small business doing. Current quotation, 4iJd.
