TRAMWAY COLLISION. Sydney, November 12. Owing to the failure of a brake, a tram collided with stationary cars at Coogee. The driver of the colliding train and four passengers have been sent to the hospital. The most seriously injured were two women, who sustained concussion. Three others were slightly injured. DROWNED WHILE SURF BATHING. Sydney, November 12. Dr. Murray Woods, a prominent Sydney medico, was drowned whilst surfing. JACK ARNST AS PIGEON SHOT. Melbourne, November 12. Wilkinson, ’the' we If-known pigeon shot, has accepted Jack Arnst’s challenge of £2OO a side for the best kill with a hundred birds.
TWO YACHTSMEN DROWNED. Brisbane, November 12. A sailing boat with six young men aboard capsized in a heavy sea. Three swam ashore greatly exhausted. The other clung to the boat and drifted all night. Two, Law and Ramsey, dropped off exhausted and were drowned. A third was rescued. SYDNEY STREET CONGESTION. (Received 13, 10.10 a.m.) Sydney, November 13. The retiring Lord Mayor is urging upon the Government a scheme over3oming congestion in the city streets which will cost from ten to twelve millions. A PARTY FOR SAMOA. (Received 13, 10.10 a.m.) Sydney, November 13. Tomascses’ party has departed for Samoa.
