It is understood they propose to second the nomination of Mr Bonar Law on Monday. It is understood that Mr Bonar Law’s selection is due to Mr. Joseph Chamberlain’s influence. The newspapers comment that he is a Canadian by birth. Sir Edward Carson declined nomination.
