THE WAR.
ALLEGED ITALIAN ATROCITIES
“DRUNK WITH BLOOD.”
A TERRIBLE STORY
By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. United Press Association. Malta, November 8. Mr.’MacCullagii, war correspondent, states that parties of Italians, revolvers in hand, marched, literally drunk witli blood, with faces flushed and ejos bloodshot, having completely lost self-control. They yelled wildly when the victims fell.
A captain photographed successive scenes, and volleys were delayed to enable him to focus his camera. In one case a detachment executing fifty Arabs, including some children aged ten, suddenly heard shots fired. Tho executioners were thrown into a panic, and left their prisoners roped together. All remained in a silent, bent attitude, while their executioners exchanged fire with the supposed attackers, until they found the shots were really from another body of Italians.
Such exchanges of shots were frequent with the blood-crazed fiends, who were unable to distinguish friends from foes.
Afterwards some Arabs were forced into a hub, where they were shot one hy one as they passed the door. The hoar was an awful spectacle. Trio tangled bodies wore intertwined in agon v.
When the fallen Arabs were seen to move the captain of the escort began revolver practice, shooting at the quivering limbs. He joked and induced otncr officers to join.
