PARISIAN WINS THE 810 MONE'; A RECORD MEETING.

Melbourne, November 7

As expected, the crowd at to-day's Melbourne Cup meeting constituted i record. The spacious bolting ring was crowded to suffocation long before the hist race, whv; ibe seating accommodation was hopeless lor the great crowds pouring in the weather was hot, and although a south breeze tempered the sun on the heights, the crowd rendered the atmosphere in the paddock S') trying that many ladies fainted. Aurofodina maintained his position of command the river turn, where Jamaca forged up into third place, Trafalgar lying fifth. Jaeamar moved up into second place. Then came Didus, Sandbath, Comedy King and Parisian. The latter dashed ont and loci up the straight, pursued by Flavian, Didus, and Comedy King, with Trafalgar falling hack plainly beaten Parisian drew away, and won comfortably by two lengths, av head between second and third.
