RIFLE SHOOTING.
POi 10KUHA DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB.

On Saturday last, despite the inclement weather, a good number of the members of the above club turned out to shoot for tho President’s prizes, which took the form of a nice case of razors (first prize) and a pipe in case (second prize), tho former being won by Rifleman Armstrong, and the latter bv Rifleman White.
As will be soon below, the possible was again made on tho 500yds, tins time by Rifleman Cooper. There was also a Ladies’ Shoot, when three prizes were competed for, valued at 255, 15s, and 10s respectively. The winner of the first prize was Miss Elsie Osborne, and for a child of her age, shows great promise as a markswoman. Miss Rose Notzli won the second prize, and Mrs. Palmer came third.
