ARBITRATION COURT.

(Per Press Association i Dunedin, November G., In the Arbitration Court to-day the case of SnoAvdoAvn v. Union Steam Ship Company Avas heard. Plaintiff Avas Harriet SnoAvdoAvn, Avhose husl?and Avas killed on one of the company’s boats at Napier. The amount of the claim, £489 9s, had been paid into Court, including £2O for special expenses, Avhich, iioAvever, amounted to £29 15s, leaving £9 los as a further claim. The Court ordered that £6O be paid to the AvidoAv immediately, the balance to be immsted by the Public Trustee, the interest to be applied for the benefit of throe dependents. The iron and brass moulders’ dispute came before the Court. The union asked for Is 4.1 d per hour for all AA’ork. The employers Avere Avilling to give Is 4Ad per hour for all Avork, except catalogue Avork, for Avhich they olfer Is 3d. The case was unfinished Avhen the Court rose.
