AMUSEMENTS.

BERNARITS PICTURES. There was an excellent audience at the Town Hall last night, when a program© was shown by Bernard’s Pictures.

The dramatic films were a particularly fine lot. In “Brothers” the self-sacrifice of an elder brother is shown, and there are a number of exciting adventures when both brothers' seek a new life in Western America. The scene of “The Mission Carrier” is laid in California, in the early days, and a love intrigue and an encounter with Indians supply ample excitement. “The Treasure Hunters” is a picturesque tale of a search for treasure, and “Big-Hearted Jim” deals’ with the vicissitudes of a young lady who is left as an infant in the care of a gold miner.

Interesting mountain scenoiy was shown in “Picturesque France,” and 1 ‘The Adriatic Riviera” gave an excellent idea of the life of the small Italian towns on the Adriatic. Two good pictures, dealt with the culture of hyanciuths and tulips, and another showed some fine pansies. The comic films were “Borrowed Flats” and “Tweedledum’s Riding Boots,” both of which caused much merriment.

The next programme will lie given early next week, when the dramatic filin' “Ten Nights in a Bar-room” will ho screened.
