MOTOR-GAR ACCIDENT.
AVIATOR, HAMMOND HURT. (Per Press Association i Palmerston North. October 31. A mqtoivcar driven by Mr. McUregor, of l Wanganui, and containing Messrs. Bathgate, solicitor, of Mastet'ton, J. Hammond, aviator, and Irvine, the chauffeur, capsized over an embankment on the road between Bunnythorpa and Ashhurst this evening. The car was travelling from Wanganui to Grc'ytown. McOregor's leg was broken above the ankle, Hammond was severely bruised and rendered f unconscious"; • for a time, and Bathgate was badly stunned, Irvine escaped witli a few bruises. McGregor and Hammond "were taken into Feilding in Dr. Wills' car. Bathgate got up and walked away after the accident, and has not since- been seen., It is supposed he took shelter for the right at a neighbouring farmhouse.
