Mackenzie, who has lately been laid up by an attack of influenza, returned to his place in Parliament on Thursday. A correspondent writes: Mr J. l<icClurrga fr o addressed the electors at the York Road Schoolhousc last night. Despite the - inclement state_ of t.ie weather there were between sixty and seventy .present, the ladies being well represented. Mr olzke presided. Mr McClnggage’s address was on the same lines as speeches delivered by him elsewhere for which he was applauded several times. At the conclusion of bis address Mr C. A. I. A olzke moved a hearty vote of thanks to Mi McClnggage for his very able address, and confidence in him as representative, and also of confidence in the Ward administration. This was seconded by Mr Crofski and carried unanimously. The usual vote to the chair brought the best meeting ever held in the York Road to a close.”
