Entries for the Show are now reaching the secretary in steadily increasing numbers. Entries in the horse section give indication of eclipsing the number recorded last year. The classes.in this section are very, varied and the prize money on a liberal scale. A trophy valued at £3 3s will be' given ‘ for the highest number of points scored in all horse classes. To bo won outright by two successive wins or 'three times at intervals, a champion gold medal will be given for the best pure-bred blood horse and the best pure-bred blood mare. In carriage horses and hacks a special prize of £2 2s will be given for the highest number of points scored. A champion gold medal will also be given for the best pure-bred draught entire and best pure-bred draught mare, together with a special prize for highest number of points scored in draught horse classes. A class that will particularly interest farmers is for best pair of milk-brake horses to he driven, in harness [ also single'horse,' trap and harness up to half a ton, the bona fide property of a farmer for three months, to be shown and driven in harness. Another interesting class is for best milk-cart horse Up to 15cwt. to be exhibited by bona fide supplier to a factory and to be driven in milk-cart. ‘ As was the caste at the last show hacks and ponies will be well catered for. The pony jumping 1 at the forthcoming Show should be worth going a long way i,to sec. Three additional classes to last year’s schedule will be tent-pegging, fours over hurdles, and a stockman’s event. All these classes should prove' very interesting indeed. The hunters’ competition is an event that is always popular, and as the prizes have been considerably increased compared to last, year a very full entry is looked for. Tho prizes will be: first £ls 15s, second £3 3s, third £1 Is. A special prize of £2 2s will be donated for the nest rider in this competition. In tho, Maiden Hunters’ Competition tho prizes will be £5 5s first and £1 Is Second. Various other competitions will be held on both days of the. Show. Anyone having an idea of entering in any of the classes should procure a schedule, wherein all the classes are sot forth together with the prize money, from the secretary, Mr E. Jackson, Stratford.
