THE EGMONT SHOW AT HAWERA.
THE DOG CLASSES. The schedule for the Dog Section of the Egmont Show at Hawcra is an attractive one this year, and all classes of dogs are catered for. The dog section was restored last jvar and proved an unqualified success with the result that the committee of the Hawera Show are doing their utmost to make a big show in the dog section annually. A permanent building has this year been erected with benches and (log divisions. 'The N.Z. Kennel Club have awarded challenge classes to smooth-coated collies and old English bearded collies. A certificate of merit will be given to all first prize winners in addition to the prize money and special prizes; A competent caretaker has charge of all dogs, and exhibitors from a distance will have their dogs met at the Hawera station if they are consigned to the secretary. They will afterwards (ie returned to their respective owners who need have no worry ‘ whatever. A qualified outside judge- has' been appointed, and everything points to a splendid show. Entries close on the 28th October, and schedules'-may still be obtained from the secretary (Mr F. G. Treweek) Hawera. , '
