The Magistrate dismissed the information against a chemist charged with selling Indendo wine, holding that no offence was proved, as the s chemist took reasonable precautions to ascertain that the wine was required for medicinal purposes, and not as a beverage. There, was no restraint as to the percentage of proof spirit, and the door was open to (rreat abuse.
