The N. Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have railed twentyfive trades of cattle from Hawera station by special train, leaving there last night at 8 o’clock, amongst which were 115 head of 15 to 18 month Hol-stein-Jersey heifers, mostly Holstein, in charge of Mr. G. Hendrick. These appeared to he well grown and of good quality, and were on account of Mr. F. W. Walters, late of Cardiff, hut now living' at Waitoa, Waikato. The balance of the consignment consisting of 2i year heifers, store cows and yearlings, in all about twenty trucks, wore on account of Messrs. Simpson and .Turd, of Tauranga. This special train is running right through without the usual delays that usually take place.
