CARDIFF NOTES.

(From onr own Correspondent.) The Cardiff school concert was held last Friday evening (13th inst.), and as is usual with .these functions proved a great success. Notwithstanding the wet rough weather, a large and appreciative audience assembled. The manner in which the scholars (mostly’ juniors) spoke their pieces, reflected the greatest praise on the teachers, who must have been assiduous in their efforts to render the children perfect. At the conclusion of the concert, supper, (provided by the ladies) was handed round, and enjoyed by all. The proceedings closed witha dance, excellent music being provided by Mrs Bianchi, of Stratford. The following programme was presented :—Pianforto duet, Misses A. and M. Rogers; dialogue, “The Workers,” junior bovs; song, senior pupils; song, Master D. Crossioy; recitation, Masters J. Car ley, H. Ralfo, F. Crossley’, and A. O’Sullivan; nursery rhymes, junior pupils; recitation, Masters W. Crawford, L. David, F. McCarty, and D. Crossley; action song, junior pupils; dialogue, senior boys; action song, senior pupils; dialogue, junior girls; skipping song, senior ‘,irls; recitation, Miss R. O’Sullivan; song, senior pupils; pianoforte selection, Miss M. Rogers; song,' senior Jrls; dialogue and action song, senior girls.
