WINTER WEATHER.

Christchurch, October 19. Following on three day's’ cold nor’westers, with snow on the high country, which is very unusual from that quarter, the wind changed to trie south-west last night, bringing heavy showers of rain and hail. Trie weather to-day is very wintry. Growth is being chocked, and pastoralists and farmers are far from happy.
