Tho Turkish fleet has sailed to protect the harbours of Epirus, in tho Balkan Peninsula. Paris, October 18. The cruiser Leon Gambetta has sailed for the Turkish Tripolitan coasts to protect French interests. Vienna, October 18. It is stated that Italy has informed the Powers that she is about to occupy Mytilene and two other islands in the Aegean Sea, with a view to exorcising pressure on tho Porto and hastening the acceptance of peace conditions. Fears arc expressed in Vienna that excitement in Turkey and the Balkans will thereby bo increased. Sofia, October IS. The Porte has promised.
