They have a handy way of dealing with immigrants in the Solomon islands (says an Australian paper). As we read in the testimony or a missionary “A price is put on the heads of Europeans, and every native who kills one is paid a certain sum.” This resistance to the intrusion of strangers into local industryshows that tire Solomon Islanders have a line Australian spirit, of the sort which you cahMleafii in Labour leagues and Trades Hall Councils. Those organisations ought to take note of the Solomon Island method. It is more expeditious and effective than the practice of adopting resolutions and : ‘transmitting” them to Mr Ben Tillett in London. Government that fulfilled all its promises? "
