On Monday, October 23rd, the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.', Ltd., Stratford, are holding their Bull Fair, when they are offering a good selection of bulls, and farmers will have the opportunity of selecting a suitable animal for their herds. Entries for this sale will he published in to-morrow’s issue.

The annual general meeting of the Toko Assembly Hall Society is to lie held in the Coronation Hall, Toko, on Wednesday next, October 25th. The property of three acres advertised for sale' by auction on Saturday next, by Messrs. Lamason and Melville, has been withdrawn. An impounding notice /appears in another column.

On Tuesday next, October 24th, Messrs. Young, Hobbs and Co. sell 350 head of mixed cattle at the Stratford yards. Messrs. Gillies and Nalder’s Glover Road stock sale takes place at their yards to-morrow.

Mr. Newton King conducts a stock ale at Okan yards to-morrow.
