RAISING THE WIND
(Per Proas Association.)
Wellington, October 17. In order to raise funds to clear off its liabilities, the Cricket Association has decided to make a levy of Is on senior and Gd on junior players for every playing Saturdoy tiiis season; third-class players are exempted. A resolution was passed giving power to make a levy whenever funds need it. It is expected £l5O will he raised this summer, and that no further call would ho needed.
