PRIMA DONNA’S FAREWELL.
A TREMENDOUS OVATION
(Received 16, 9.10 ,a,m.) . London, October 15. At the Albert Hall eight) thousand people accorded Mme. Albani a tremendous ovation on her final farewell to London. She sang Tosti’s “Good-ble.” The enthusiasm was heightened by Mme. Patti, Santlcy and Ada Crossley singing.
Mine. Albani was born near Montreal in 1852. She made her debut at Messina, in 1870 in Bellini’s “La ’Sonnambula,” and appeared in London in 1872. In 1878 she married Ernest Gyo, the impressario.
