H.R.H. tho Duke of Connaught was welcomed to Quebec and sworn in as Governor-General of tho Dominion of Canada. Great enthusiasm marked tho Duke’s arrival, whose first official act was to sign an Ordcr-in-Council prcK viding for by-elections due to Cabinet appointments.
