WARNNAMBOOL ROAD RACE. Sydney October, 15. Two hundred and eighty-three started in the Warnnambool road race. The weather was fine, though there were blinding clouds cf dust. The roads were good to Geelong, but afterwards were patchy. There was a great finish. Collins ("handicap 34min), Tobbs (42min), Lessing (40min), Hughes (34min), and Slaney (44min) finished in that order. All the Victorians finished in a bunch, Collins securing tho victory by half a. wheel in Bhrs 45mins llsec. Lessing entered a protest that Collins caught held of his saddle in the final spurt. O’Shea, New Zealand, the scratch man, made the fastest time, Bhrs 18mins 44sec. Melbourne, October 15. - Collins denies that he interfered with any rider .The protest will bo •board by the League of Wheelmen. O’Shea was the only' New Zealander to occupy a prominent place. AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS. Brisbane, October 15. The half-mile amateur cycling championship of Australia was won by Trousdell, of Queensland. Time, Imin 7 2-ssec. The ten miles’ cham-

pionship was won by Cntcliffo, of New South Wales. Time, 26min 35 sec.
