The Midbirst Oddfellows are to hold their annual social and dance on Thursday, October 19th. An enjoyable function is promised. Mr. W. Richards, of Cardiff, has donated a special prize •of £2 2s to the Stratford A. and P. Association’s show.

The general committee of the A. and P. Association met at the Show grounds this morning, when the positions of pens to lie erected and similar matters wore fully gone into. Tier new horse and bull boxes are now practically completed, and the ground lias been much, improved by the area beyond the oval lining ploughed and sot in grass, and by the provision of a feeding paddock behind the horse boxes. Altogether the grounds are looking in lino condition, and by the time the show comes around they will present a very pleasing appearance.
