WRECK OF THE MACLEAY. FIVE BODIES RECOVERED. Sydney, October 13. Five bodies have been recovered from tho MacLeay. Tabcll did not sail. His place was taken by a seaman named McKenzie, who is amongst the missing. Peterson, one of the saved, who was at the wheel, states that the captain instructed him to steer north-east. When the mate took command he ordered him to alter the course to north by cast. A few minutes later she struck the rock. WRECK LOCATED. (Received 14, 8.35 a.m.) Sydney, October 14. The wreck of tl'ie MacLeay has been located off Eastern Point cf the Big Cabbage Tree Island. An extended search failed to disclose any signs of further survivors.
