(Received 13, 9.20 a.m.) Melbourne, October 13. 'They now found there were under a dozen taking the service alter over £2OOO had been spent in subsidies. The Government would do well to look at some of the scare headlines published in connection with the new service. As a financial transaction they were concerned in what they were subsidising, and the Government should not be a party to the misrepresentation of facts. Mr. Fisher declared that he could prove that the public had gained more then they had given up. He indicated that they might increase the term upon which the subsidy was payable, but not increase the annual amount.
