FIRES.
(Per Press Association.) Auckland, October 13. A house in Grey Lynn, owned by Mrs. Brigham, of Gisborne, was destroyed by fire last night during absence of the tenant’s wife, who had just taken tho premises, and were actually removing tho last of their furniture into tho building. The screams of children attracted attention, and they were removed without injury.
