At the Christchurch Presbytery today, arriving out of a report submitted on'the question of Sabbath observance, the Presbytery decided to form a branch of' the' Sabbath Alliance and to hold a Presbyterian conference on the subject in February next. An overture to the General Assembly on the “Ne temere” decree on mixed marriages was agreed to. The overture, inter alia, asks the Government to take such measures as are necessary to deal with the position which has arisen owing to the promulgation of Die decree m New Zealand.
