WHANGAMOMONA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) One of the most enjoyable functions hold here this season was the ball given by the employees of Messrs. Court and Cottier, which took place in the WVhanga Hall on Thursday overling last. The floor, music, and supper were excellent, and the hall decorations also were very lino, the whole evening’s enjoyment bearing evidence of the committee s htiijcl work. . The 'secretary, Mr. A. Klee, was the right man in the right place, and to he and Mr. H. Hayward, M.C., the residents of the township and district give great praise for so successful a gathering. Among those present were: Mrs. Court, in green lustre; Mrs. T. A. Bradley, brown velvet; Mrs. Hunter, pale blue ciepo de chono, with Oriental trimming: Mrs. Strombom, white embroidered muslin; Mrs. Sim, pale green muslin de soie; Mrs. Archer, pale blue velvet: Mrs. Bagg, cream silk; Mrs. A. Parker, cream net tunic over pale green satin; Mrs. Towler, green yolvote Mrs. Walker, pale pink with pink chiffon overdress; Miss Wilson, spangled net over cream satin; Miss Mantle, pink silk; Miss Aylward, cream lustre; Miss Hodge, pink muslin do sole; Miss Beau, pink silk; Miss Ferguson, pale blue trimmed with silk lace; Miss Hodder, pale pipk; Miss B. Hodder, blue; also, Mrs. A. Klee, Miss Price, Misses Hodder (2), and Miss Bennett; Messrs. Court, Cottier, Klee, ®radley, Fawkner, Hunter, Archer, Shield (2), Sim, Aylward, Reader, Trask (2), A. McCluggage, Watson Bennett, Pugg, Newton, Scanned, Mills, Mantle, Coxhead (2), Anderson, Parker.
