A CHINESE QUARREL.
KNIVES USED

When the tramp steamer Waekure arrived from Auckland this morning the captain reported that at 11 o’clock last night two Chinese seamen had a dispute, which resulted in one of them, Wong 13hec, being stabbed on the head and right arm. His assailant, carrying his knife with him, ran along the deck until the captain covered him with a revolver. The chief officer then closed with him, relieved liim of the knife, and assisted to put him in irons. The wounded man was removed to the hospital. At the police court to-day, Ah Wong was charged with assault, and remanded until October 11.
