FROZEN MEAT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received the following cablegram from its London house, under date 29th instant:—“The market is quiet for mutton and weaker for beef. The demand for amb is falling off.”

Mr. Newton icing’s Stratford Weekly Report. At the Hay market on Saturday there was a moderate yarding of pigs, chiefly weaners, prices realised being on a par with previous sale. I quote slips and weaners 9s to 15s 6d, medium stores 29s to 30s. pedigree pigs £2 2s, calves 2s to 6s 6d ,horse £o I Os. At the Marti—Poultry: A fair number of birds were penned, all of which were cleared at the hammer at prices in advance of previous sales, with the demand again exceeding the supply— Roosters Is 9d to 2s 3d, hens Is id to 2s Bd, ducks 2s 3d to 2s 7d, turkey 6s 6d. Potatoes, 6s 6d to 9s sack; parsnips, Is bag; broccoli, 2s 9d doz; peas, 2s peck; furniture, military coats, and sundries at usual rates.
